Privacy policy
This policy covers the YardRelay website at yardrelay.app and the YardRelay beta waitlist. YardRelay is a product of SUDO Group, LLC, an Arizona company (“we”, “us”). The YardRelay apps aren’t available yet; before they are, we’ll update this policy to cover them.
What we collect
- Your email address, if you join the beta waitlist. With it we keep a few details of our own: that you signed up on yardrelay.app, that you’re interested in the beta, the market we’re starting in (Phoenix), your place on the waitlist, and when you signed up.
- Abuse-prevention records. To stop the signup form from being misused, we count recent signups using one-way hashes of your IP address and email address, not the addresses themselves. These records are deleted automatically within about two days. Our server logs record only the domain of an email address (for example, “gmail.com”) and are deleted after 14 days.
- Messages you send us. If you email us, we keep your message and your address so we can reply.
We don’t ask for your name, phone number or location. The website uses no cookies, analytics, advertising or tracking scripts, and every file it loads comes from yardrelay.app itself.
How we use it
- To email you about the YardRelay beta and launch: a confirmation that you’re on the waitlist, an invitation when the beta opens, and announcements about YardRelay.
- To reply when you contact us.
- To keep the website and signup form secure and working.
We don’t sell or rent your information, and we don’t share it with anyone for advertising.
Who handles it for us
We use a few service providers. They handle your information on our behalf and only to provide their service to us.
- Loops stores the waitlist and sends our email. Loops may record whether an email was opened and which links were clicked.
- Amazon Web Services hosts the website and processes the signup form.
- Google runs our email at hello@yardrelay.app (Google Workspace).
We may also disclose information if the law requires it, or to a successor if YardRelay or SUDO Group, LLC is sold or reorganized, in which case this policy continues to apply to it.
Email and unsubscribing
Every email we send about the beta and launch includes an unsubscribe link, and unsubscribing takes effect right away. If you later create a YardRelay account, unsubscribing from announcements won’t stop messages you need for that account, such as security notices or receipts.
How long we keep it
We keep your waitlist entry until you ask us to delete it, or until we no longer need it for the beta and launch. If you unsubscribe but don’t ask for deletion, we keep your address marked as unsubscribed so we don’t email you again.
Your choices
You can ask to see the information we hold about you, correct it, or delete it by emailing hello@yardrelay.app. We’ll respond within 30 days. We won’t treat you differently for making a request.
Children
YardRelay is for businesses and adults. We don’t knowingly collect information from children under 13, and we’ll delete it if we learn we have.
Security and location
The website is served only over HTTPS. Your information is stored with our service providers in the United States. No system is perfectly secure, but we collect as little as we can and limit who can reach it.
Changes
If we change this policy, we’ll post the new version here with a new effective date. If a change materially affects how we use your email address, we’ll tell the waitlist by email first.
